
Accra, Ghana β APC Youth Network West Africa (APCYN-WA), led by its Director General, Hon. Olatunde Igbasan, hosted a grand welcome reception in Accra for Nigerian cyclist and youth advocate MC Jekabeche following his remarkable bicycle expedition from Nigeria to Ghana.

The journey was undertaken to inspire young Nigerians and youths across West Africa to embrace purposeful engagement, contribute to nation-building, and participate actively in the democratic process.

Reception in Togo and Arrival in Ghana
Before entering Ghana, MC Jekabeche was warmly received in Togo by members of APC Youth Network West Africa (APCYN-WA), who welcomed and supported him as he completed the penultimate stage of his journey. He proceeded to Accra the following day.
Upon his entry into Ghana, MC Jekabeche was accorded a dignified escort from Tema to Accra and formally received at the APCYN-WA Secretariat by Hon. Olatunde Igbasan, HRH Dr. Olaide Oluwamayowa Jose, executives of the Network, and other distinguished guests.
The reception also attracted supporters from Nigeria, including Cartoon Boy TV, who flew in to support and document the expedition. In a symbolic gesture of honour, MC Jekabeche was draped in Ghanaβs iconic Kente cloth.

β¦2 Million Gift and a New Bicycle
In his address, Hon. Olatunde Igbasan commended MC Jekabecheβs resilience and encouraged young people to use social media positively to inspire, educate, and promote national development.
To recognize his extraordinary achievement, the DG announced a gift of β¦2 million and a brand-new bicycle. The bicycle used for the expedition will be preserved at the APCYN-WA Secretariat in Accra as a commemorative piece.

Courtesy Visit to the Nigeria High Commission
MC Jekabeche paid a courtesy visit to the Nigeria High Commission in Accra, where he was warmly received by the Acting High Commissioner to Ghana, Ambassador Moses Ifedayo Adeoye.
Later that evening, the Acting High Commissioner hosted a dinner in honour of MC Jekabeche and Hon. Olatunde Igbasan. Attendees included the Head of Chancery, Cartoon Boy TV, the President of the National Association of Nigerian Women, executives of APCYN-WA Ghana Chapter, and other distinguished guests.

MC Jekabeche also appeared on Asaase Radioβs Breakfast Show, where he shared his experience and expressed gratitude to Hon. Olatunde Igbasan and APCYN-WA for the warm reception and support he received in Ghana.
Following the successful completion of his visit, MC Jekabeche flew back to Nigeria, while the bicycle he used for the expedition remains preserved at the APC Youth Network West Africa (APCYN-WA) Secretariat in Accra.
